A Natural Fall Table

Fall is here, even though the weather
 in sunny Southern California
calls for a few more days of heat.

Regardless of what the weather cast says,
I'm in the mood for fall.  Out came the
fall and Halloween decor bins this past
weekend.  I've since spend the last few days
sorting through my decor items and looking
through some of last year's decor pics.

Here is just a glimpse of a fall tablescape from last year
that I never got to share.

I like the idea of using natural textures
whenever I can.  In this design, I incorporated
pears to serve as place settings.

I tied a simple tag around the stem, and
instantly a seating card was born.
I love my white Pottery Barn Hemstitch Napkins
because they go with everything.  For this fall
table design, I simply cut and wrapped a seasonal
wire ribbon around it, and placed it atop the plate.

Green Hypericum berries and gourds accentuated
the natural fall table design.

 Small ghost pumpkin goards placed
atop a shimmery silver candle holder
gave the table a soft neutral touch.

For the centerpiece, I went with the same
natural motif that I used throughout the table.
I placed fresh artichokes, ghost pumpkins,
and gourds in the same color family on a
silver tray at the center of the table.
The green vegetables popped against their
ghostly white counterparts.
A closer look of the natural centerpiece...

And there you have it, a simple fall tablescape
with few bells and whistles.  Simple, natural,
and as subtle as fall itself.

Happy fall!
