How many times do we create a design and think to ourselves,
"This is pretty enough to be in a magazine?"
As I'm sure many of you do, I love home decor magazines.
I have a few favorites that I subscribe to, and each time
they arrive, I choose my favorite layouts to savor over and over!
So, this past week, I thought it would be a great idea to invite
a few of my girlfriends over and have a Magazine luncheon.
As you know by now, I LOVE A GOOD THEME...so,
I themed this luncheon, "MAGAZINE THIS."
Each of my guests brought at least two of their favorite
decor/design magazines, containing some of their
desired layouts. It was such a fun way
of learning everyone's taste in decor/design,
and how they are inspired to create their own designs.
We were inspired to recreate some
of these fantastic layouts in our future decor as well.
We had such a great time, that we've
decided to host another "Magazine This"
luncheon in the coming months;
Just in time for Holiday Decorating!
Here are some of the pics of my
"Magazine This" table.
The chalkboard sets the theme of the table...
A simple burlap runner atop of a shabby white tablecloth
gave the table the "simple" feel I was going for...
Some of the favorites at the table...
These beauties were table centerpieces from a family party this past weekend,
and they complimented the beautiful colors in the magazines quite nicely.
I'm so excited to host another "Magazine This" luncheon."
We enjoyed perusing through our favorite magazines and sharing
what inspires each of our decor and design styles.
Have a Happy Week!
Xx,
Betty
