Fourth of July/Patriotic Table 2013

As I've said before, one of my favorite tables to design
is the Patriotic Table; for one simple reason,
the Bold Primary Colors of our flag.
The blues and reds against a white
background is just perfect!
The best thing about this year's table design, is
that it hardly cost me a dime to create!!

If you saw my last post about the adorable
recycled plant stand turned rustic flag, you'll
understand why this cutie made my
 patriotic tablescape this year!

Here is my Fourth of July Patriotic Table for 2013!

I made the 1776 burlap banner last year,
and used it as part of my front door decor.
This year I thought why not use it as part of my table design.

Using items I already own such as my Ball Jars and cloth napkins is so much easier on the decor budget.  These patriotic napkins are from last year's design as well.  I sewed the edges of the patriotic fabric, and instantly they became the perfect cloth napkins.  The best part of all is that I can use them for all of my patriotic celebrations!  So, you will probably see them again in my future patriotic posts.

As I mentioned above; if you saw my last post about this rustic little wooden flag,
You'll know why it holds a special place in my heart.  I had to incorporate this
little beauty into my Fourth of July Table decor.

These cute little chalkboard clothespin place settings stole my heart away when
I saw them at the store.  I grabbed a few packages, and instantly knew how
I would be using them for my Fourth of July Table.  Aren't they cutest little
chalkboards you've ever seen?!

I simply clipped them to the red and white polka dotted ribbon,
and they were the perfect touch against the crisp white napkins.

Ok, I'm obsessed with these little chalkboards I know!
I promise this is the last close up of them!!

As most of you know by now, for me, "It's All in the DETAILS."
This little galvanized bucket came in handy as a utensil caddy.  And once again,
the adorable rustic wooden flag makes an appearance.

The antique white tray was another piece I already owned.
I had originally used it in my family room coffee table decore years ago,
and just decided to give it a facelift. I sanded and painted it an antique
white, and using painter's tape, I painted a red and blue stripe along the
two longer sides of the tray.  Instantly it was transformed from an outdated
oak color tray to a red, white, and blue charmer!  I didn't spend one dime on this
project, as I already owned everything needed including the paint!
(the before picture is below)

I made the tablecloth from French Grainsack Towels that I already owned.
It was a tedious task to sew together, but the red stripes going down each side
compliment the patriotic theme quite nicely.
Just for fun, I scattered some extra grainsack towels thoroughout
the table to give it a rustic outdoor feel.

And there you have it.  All of the pieces that I will use to create a patriotic table
that is whimsical and rustic all at the same time.  The best part of this table is that aside from purchasing the mini chalkboard clothespins , I was able to create this entire table for under
 five dollars!

I hope everyone has a wonderful time celebrating
America's Birthday!

Happy Fourth of July!

Xx,
Betty

  7. I got so many ideas from your post and the best part is I have most of the pieces. I haven't started on my 4th of July decor, but I have been gathering ideas and items. Don't be surprised if you see a post with some similarities to your decor.
