Flea Market Finds

One of my favorite Flea Markets to visit
is the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena.

Nestled in one of the prettiest and historic neighborhoods in Los Angeles County, the drive there is reason enough to wake up early and go on the hunt for some amazing flea market finds.
It was a bit cloudy the day we went,
but this national historic landmark built in 1922,
is always such a striking sight to see regardless of the weather.

I was in search of a vintage kitchen scale, and although I came across a few good one's, I didn't find "THE ONE." I guess it's
just an excuse to keep visiting the flea market the second Sunday of every month.

I did however come across some beautiful pieces
that I want to share with you.
This shabby side board buffet was
one of my absolute favorite pieces.
The distressed piece would actually accentuate just
about any room in the house.
It would make a practical linen storage in a
upstairs hallway for sure!

This muted gold French mirror was stunning, and Very well made.
This mirror would look amazing over a fireplace mantel or sitting
over an entry table in a foyer.

This adorable etched dresser in the perfect shade
of soft sea green makes the perfect addition to
a vintage baby nursery or little girl's French bedroom.
Someone sure got lucky to take this beautiful piece
home with them!

     An over sized apothecary table/console.

The possibilities are endless with this piece.
Perfect as a home entertainment stand.  Those
cute little drawers provide such functionality for
storing cd's and video game cartridges in your family room.

Covered in a cozy pad that compliments your bed linens, this piece would make a great food of the bed bench for the master bedroom as well.  Or, use it in a child's playroom for storing those little trinkets that usually get lost in a large toy bin
The card catalog style index slots makes it easy for labeling the contents of each drawer.

My Inspiration Piece...
Like I need another tote!!!

I fell in love with this French Tote!
The furniture webbing as handles, was GENIOUS!
I reeeeally contemplated bringing it home.
The size was perfect, as was the price $35.00.
But, I love a challenge, and as I looked at it from
top to bottom, examined every stitch... of course you know
what came out of my mouth.. I CAN MAKE THIS!!!
And that's exactly what I'm going to do.
Post and tutorial coming soon!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my pictorial of my recent trip
to the flea market. And although this time, I didn't find my
vintage kitchen scale, I did come home with one little item
that my hubby encouraged me to get.  An adorable frame
that he YES, you heard right, my amazing and talented
husband turned that adorable frame into the perfect laundry
room chalkboard for me.

If you get a chance to visit your local fle
market, don't stress if you can't find the piece you were looking for.  Instead, look around at those out of the box pieces
that call out your name, and get inspired by them!

Enjoy your weekend Everyone!!
Xx,
Betty
