Healthy Sunday Morning Family Breakfast

Our Family lives for the weekends...
But as I'm sure it's the case in most households,
the weekends are often impacted with kid's sports,
family gatherings, and tons and tons of errands to run.
And because Saturday mornings are usually dedicated to fulfilling
all of the above,it's usually a quick bite, and out the door we go.  But, ONE thing I make sure that takes place at our house EVERY Sunday is... A HEALTHY SUNDAY MORNING BREAKFAST.

Nothing fancy or difficult, no fuss, just some healthy food
to energize and prepare us for another fun day, while preparing
our bodies for the day and week ahead.

A simple plate of egg whites
with lightly sprinkled cracked pepper...
Much healthier than the whole egg.

A side of tomato slices lightly sprinkled with cracked pepper
instead of salt. I normally give them a light drizzle of balsamic vinegar as well.

I like to break up the monotony of breakfast orange juice by serving other juices such as cranberry, or grapefruit (although the latter is not a fan favorite at our house).  This time I served an "ALL GREEN" drink made from essential antioxidant fruits and veggies combined.

And because I am a firm believer that every meal should
consist of a serving of fruits... I served up a red and black berry fruit cup to complete our Healthy Sunday Morning Breakfast.
I recently read that berries are the STAR of the antioxidant source. And these berries serve up a source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidant molecules and other essential elements.

And there you have it... A simple Healthy Sunday Morning Breakfast sure to get your family up and ready to enjoy the last day of the weekend.
Happy Sunday Everyone!

Betty
