Double Digits Red Carpet Hollywood Extravaganza Birthday Party

It is fair to say that my Daughter's Double Digits Birthday Party was a success from start to finish...   Being that it was Academy Awards weekend made the celebration even more fitting.

An event fit for a STAR!!!

 The place cards...

The Envelope, Please...
I used an envelope fold on white linen napkins to resemble
The Academy Awards Envelope...

The place setting...

The Awards...
From Best Actress to best set design,
My daughter presented each girl with an award...
The girls came up to the "stage" and gave their acceptance speeches. This was one of the highlights of the evening.

The Step and Repeat Board...
As each girl stepped out of her limo and made her way onto the Red Carpet, she stopped to pose in front of the step and repeat board.  This was one of my favorite props to make.
My daughter and her friends LOVED it!

The Lounge...
A perfect place for the Hollywood Divas
to sit and relax during awards night...
The red, leopard, and satin white pillows gave this lounge
 real life HOLLYWOOD GLAM!

The props that decorated the room made
Hollywood come alive throughout the space...

The Table...
Even before I started designing my daughter's glam Hollywood Red Carpet Birthday party, I envisioned lamps on the table; I wanted to go for that Golden Globes look where everyone sits at a very glamorous table.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these two black and silver sleek lamps while shopping.  My heart skipped a beat.  They complimented my design and vision to a T!!!!

 The Accessories...
A gold frame on a beautiful table easel
welcomed the V.I.P.'s and their guest of honor...

I purchased these red vases at Michael's right after
Valentine's Day.. They were on clearance, and simply perfect
for this table design...
And what's a Hollywood Party without some bling???I added organza ribbons to the vases, and attached a diamond jewel to each bow...
on the back, I added a strand of jewels so that they would be appealing to guests sitting on the opposite side of the table...

Although not the real thing...
the girls were over the moon
when they noticed this familiar statue at the table....

These pom flowers in the colors of the night
added volume to the ceiling decor...

The Candy Bar...
Not as elaborate as I normally design it...
but the girls enjoyed it nonetheless...

The V.I.P. Entrance...
The velvet rope and stantion were the Real Deal!

The Red Carpet...

 Hollywood Scene...
Several Hollywood landmarks (made by yours truly) greeted the girls as they walked the red carpet..But this one has got to be my favorite... The Griffith Observatory is one of my daughter's favorite places to visit.
We are so fortunate to live in Los Angeles, so we get to frequent the observatory and it's breathtaking views quite often.

I don't think this one needs an introduction....

 Hollywood Style...
And no Hollywood Diva is ever caught without her designer shades...
Each girl got to wear her very own pair as she posed in front of the step and repeat board...and staying true to the real Hollywood style, some of the girls even wore theirs indoor...
SO HOLLYWOOD!

The Cake...
My vision for the cake was clear...
It had to be spectacular!!!
I think this was accomplished...
I asked the bakery to bake the two tiered red cake sans any decor.
When it arrived, I embellished it with the black ribbon and jewels, and the look came together beautifully.

The bling, the ribbon, the design...
it all spelled out HOLLYWOOD GLAM!!
It was Delicious too!

And there you have it... a Perfect Red Carpet Double Digits birthday party.  I would have loved to share more photos of the night.  But out of privacy for my daughter and her guests, I chose not to post pictures with them in it.

My daughter was over the moon with her Hollywood extravaganza party.  She had a magical night.  She deserves the moon and the stars.  Happy Birthday to our sweet, beautiful girl.
We LOVE you to the Moon and Back Again!

  2. LOVED THIS! You put so much effort into every detail and what a fabulous result! Wish my daughter was still home so I could throw her a party like this! You've provided inspiration for many I'm sure! The napkins folded like envelopes with the seals just MADE the table!
