I wanted to replace our usual artwork over the console

table with something that reflects the season.

My hubby went to our local lumbar store and 

bought me what seemed like a gazillion 

pieces of plywood boards.

I'm not an artist, but it doesn't take much artistry to 

write a caption...Here is the Christmas sign

that graces the wall over the console table. 
All it took was a little sandpaper, some acrylic paint,
and a steady hand.

 I embellished the sign by tying three silver ornaments in

varying textures to hemp twine to give the sign a little holiday bling...

I distressed the sign just ever so slightly to give it a rustic touch...

I leaned the sign up against the console table wall... 

And here is my simple little sign with a sweet Christmas message...
