Southern California spring

While parts of the country are still experiencing
winter like weather...here in sunny Southern California,
spring is in full bloom I could not resist the opportunity
to begin planting my spring garden.
I have far more to do, but here's a little sneak
peak of what I've done so far.

I started working on a small planter near the driveway.
It's one of the first planters visible
as one walk's up towards the house,
so I wanted to use vibrant colored plants
 for a pretty curb appeal.

I like to keep a mutual color palette in each of my planters.
I chose pinks, purples
and whites for this one,
and they compliment one another quite nicely.

And there you have it, a little sneak peak of
spring in bloom in my Southern California garden.

More to come!

  Here's a tip:
You don't have to break the bank when it comes to spring planting. You can purchase most of your blooms from your local nursery or big box stores (the one's that have a garden center), but regardless of where you make your purchase, make sure to ask the professionals for advice on the best fertilizer and soil to use, because this will ensure that your plants and flowers will grow healthy and strong throughout the season.

Happy spring!
XO,
Betty
