It's no secret that I love setting a beautiful table
especially for my guests, and one of my favorite
tables to set it the Kid's Table.
Here is a sweet kid's Easter table design
with ooodels of Whimsy that my daughter
fell in love with!
I used a small Pottery Barn table and chair set that
she's had since she was little and placed
it up against the window seat in her playroom,
The pillows on her window seat, compliment the
colors of Easter and spring perfectly!
The burlap bunny banner was perfect
for the whimsical look of this design.
I created the "Happy Easter" banner(in the background)
from leftover linen squares that I had from a previous project.
I used stencils and acrylic paint for the caption and strung each square together onto a hemp rope.
I took a caption from one of my favorite childhood stories,
copied it onto a cardstock flag, and placed one on each plate.
An easy little verse makes for some fun Easter Brunch singing at the kiddie table.
What's a kid's table without a
whimsical centerpiece?
From some of my designs,
you now know how much my daughter and I love collecting
tree branches on our walks arond the neighborhood.
I decided to paint this one white by using one coat of
acrylic paint, and hung faux speckled eggs on simple
burlap loops that I affixed with a hot glue gun, and placed the tree
into a pink glass bottle that I purchased at Michael's.
After seeing those whimsical
Bottle Toppers in the Pottery Barn catalog , and seeing the adorable ones that the beautiful and talented Christina at Remodelando La Casa created, my daughter and I were inspired to give it a whirl and create our own. We used an old chenille scarf, cut the shapes we wanted, used the sewing machine to sew the body, sewed on the ears, threaded some embroidery yarn to make the whiskers and nose, used fabric paint to give the ears a little bit of pink, and added pink googly eyes from my daughter's (or as she refers to herself, "my assistant") craft bin, and we had ourselves a couple of cute little bunnies for some added
table whimsy!
I always use linen napkins in my table designs,
and whenever possible, I like turning them into
something spectacular. I played around with
several folding methods and came up with this simple format
to create bunny ears. How Perfect is that?!!
To keep the bunny ears from opening up,
I clipped some adorable little spring clothespins
I found at the craft store.

I found these cute "chickedy" egg cups at target (did you notice the little tiny chick feet),wrapped them up inside the bunny ears, and what adorable kiddy setting this turned out to be!
How cute is this ceramic bunny hauling his Easter egg
stash in his wheel barrel?! I could not pass him up
when I saw him in the Easter section at Michael's.
An Easter greeting among his stash of speckled eggs
greets the little table guests.
I hope this Whimsical Easter Table Design
encourages you to created a happy and festive
ambiance for the kids each time you entertain.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
XO,
Betty
