Glimpses of Christmas 2012: (Day Five) Holiday Accents

The Holiday Mantel...

My favorite part of the house to decorate during the holidays is the Fireplace Mantel.
I don't know if it's because it is the focal point of the room, but, for some reason once I've
decorated the mantel, I feel our home is holiday ready.

This adorable "Partridge in a Pear Tree" was perfect
for my all white and silver mantel color scheme...

Our 2012 Burlap Christmas Stockings...

I cut and sewed the stockings in about 1/2 an hour, added a glittery
monogram wooden letter, and PRESTO, our family Christmas Stockings were ready
to hang on the mantel.

A little Banister Bling...

Our banister finial, all dressed in it's holiday best...

 Holiday in the Kitchen...

Simple Topiary Balls hang from the French windows in my kitchen...
Since the kitchen is the place where everyone gathers especially
during the holidays, these French topiary balls give the room a little
holiday CHEER!

Guest Take Home Gift...

I always give our guests a special little something to remember our dinner parties, and this
sparkly gold star will look lovely on their tree.
