Easter Door...

Easter is almost here,
and my front door is ready!

It all started with a little inspiration from PB.
I fell in love with their BUNNY BANNER, and decided
I could wing it and make my own version.  I love burlap, and I love
all things rustic, so I gave it a go
and here is my knock off version.

I picked these fresh spring blooms straight  from the
beautiful hill next to our house.  I love how they
look all wrapped up in burlap.  And yes, that is
my versatile wire basket you see holding the
pretty packaged blooms.  Boy do I get use out
of that sweet, sweet basket!

This vintage chair belonged to my husband's
grandmother, and when she passed just shy of her
one hundredth birthday, this chair was one
of those sweet little memories that keep her
close in my thoughts, and any chance I get,
I incorporate it into my decor.

Oh how I love little speckled eggs at Easter...

And to think I almost purchased faux pink blossoms
at the craft store today, only to come home and
find these prefect natural pink beauties growing on the hillside right outside our front door...

I love pretty little packages..
and these burlap bundles are just so sweet!

Added a few floral pillows from left over fabric from my
daughter's window seat, and the front door bench is ready
for spring...

 No spring wreath this year...
I decided  to go a little un-traditional when it came to my front door display this year, so I purchased  a couple of swirly frames from the craft store, painted them in a pale pink hue, sewed a bunny out of tea towel fabric on one and painted a cherry blossom branch on the other, and my front doors greet my guests with a little whimsy cheer...

 Happy Easter and Happy spring
from My Front Door to Yours...

  2. I love your banner, and those sweet pink flowers -- I'm totally jealous as everything where I live is still brown! Your porch looks so pretty!

  3. Oh I love it. I really like that you thought out of the box and came up with something other than a wreath. I need to do that. Very creative and pretty. Hugs, Marty
